Project Kit: Mosaic Nightlight

Always wanted to try making a mosaic? Here is a fun project that I teach regularly to coastal visitors in my studio. Beginner friendly, and make on your own schedule!

When ordering, please indicate the design from those shown in the pics. I can make a simple custom design, or just send your favorite colors for you to create "freeform."

You'll get almost all the materials needed (see below) to complete your project. The wheeled nippers are needed to shape your glass to fit the design, and you'll find it's a handy tool you can use for future glass projects. Please select "add wheeled nippers" at purchase if you don't already have a pair, or can borrow them for the project. If you want to look for them in your area, they are usually sold at stained glass or craft stores rather than hardware stores.

Kit includes:

  • Nightlight base and bulb

  • 4” round clear glass substrate

  • Paper design template

  • Stained glass variety in colors selected for your design

  • 1oz of Weldbond glue in a reusable, refillable bottle

  • Polyblend sanded grout, color charcoal (Custom Brands)

  • Gorilla Clear Grip glue (single use) for attaching the base

  • Written instructions

  • Emailed link to instruction videos (at time of purchase)

Add Wheeled Nippers to Kit?
  • Because of vendor delays during the COVID19 crisis, it's challenging sourcing all the items needed to stock these kits. I will ship your order immediately if I have everything on hand, and let you know if there's an expected delay. Please allow at least 7-10 days for delivery. Thanks for your patience!
