Farmers’ markets were once the only way to obtain fresh fruits and vegetables short of growing your own garden. I spent several years growing and selling produce for market in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Though I am no longer a market farmer, the vibrant atmosphere of farmers’ markets still inspire me. Color, flavor, sounds and smells mingle in a joyful weekly “town square” type of event, and lead to wonderful Sunday dinners.
