Heading up the winding trail to Cascade Head, a scenic headland topped by open meadows overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the hiker reaches that “almost there” point in the dense forest.
The treeline becomes apparent and bright sunlight pierces the edge, after steep-steep switchbacks among the ferns and Sitka spruce. At last the meadows are near and sweeping ocean views beckon.
This 10×18″ stained glass mosaic is created on a layered Wedi board substrate.
